To wrap things up. Currently the system for golden clan tags for winners of clan wars doesn't exist and there is no plan to do this. If that ever changes, BC won't be having those as they will no longer be the winners (unless they participate in some future tournies). So now its up to TDs of the future clan tournaments to persuade developers to code this kind of reward.

I agree with Chevy here and think it odd such a massive tournament gets dealt nothing while a Nomads testing process gets avatars with more haste.

The point here is that it looks bad for future tournaments.

Zep defiantly mentioned it in Chat. I mean the tournament thread for that IGC never even mentions a real Prize!

It is a lot of work to organize that many people in that many matches. You should get a better prize than a standard Avatar for winning something that big. It seems like those clan tags are out of the question but it would of been nice to reward the clan with something. Next time we have one there is not a tone of incentive to have that kind of tournament if the prize is not at least something Unique.

How many clans dropped during clan war when [e] won verse when BC won? I honestly am asking...

Last year's clan war was such an utter failure due to horrible attendance and drops that yes, it would be outrageous. My memory of the clan war bc won doesn't recall issues like that one.

I'll have to dig deeper and find out.

now, i know everyones busy having fun here but

bscly like a while ago now after e clan won the most recent clan tourney there was this discussion about golden tags and it was decided that we shouldnt be promoting one clan above the rest like that.

in short its nice you are all arguing for golden tags but its golden tags for [e] not bc by this point xD

and if e got golden tags everyone would lose their shit so maybe everyone should calm down. or whatever, i wouldnt mind myself a nice tag)

Enabling a clan tag to be golden or other such colour opens the chance for your clan to potentially gain a colour in the future

by snubbing bc, you snub yourself as well

Don't find it distasteful, find it true - none of them did, so if you want to get mad, do so at zep, and certainly don't as morax did say that people are not honouring some agreement which they plainly didn't make.

I got as far as adding the clan tag colour to the production version of the database ( https://github.com/FAForever/db/blob/de ... colors.sql ) but failed to get that data included in the API (so there is no way for the client to get to it).

I also find the arguments that "we technically didn't promise it" really distasteful. If half the time arguing about it had been spent sorting it, we wouldn't still be having this discussion.
