wiped the PC and re-installed windows yesterday and updated to latest ATI drivers
I think it was on the default windows 8.1 ATI driver set before (13.25) so updated this to 14.9

as part of re-install I also wiped FA and re-installed from scratch
At the moment i am running with no mods at all as want to rule out anything else causing crashes

played a few games last night with no crash issues as yet, so will leave it like this for a few weeks and see how it goes
will post if anything of note arises!

Thanks, Neill

Thanks for the tip - I will try that
- I had downloaded AZUI to try to get the UI performance increase (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS1nNZC ... -So_GureAQ)
however I have been getting this crash long before doing the above so dont think it is related

To my knowledge these issues started for me after the introduction of a FAF (FA) patch several months back, possibly where there were some in game graphical changes listed (explosions?). Struggling to remember the build Id now - will do some research later to try and ID it
I never had the issue prior to that build in FAF

thanks, Neill

Anyhow I just thought of something else you could try. Turn of AZUI since GazUI is included in FAF it could cause a conflict.

looks like a new error type in this one?

Yes I saw that one, I dont think any of the mods I run add new units
I would note that I have seen the same crash on my fresh FA install with no mods (but must admit I didnt know about the F9 log at the time so it could possibly be a different cause)

The first warning occurs when the game is trying to load the unit "zeb9501" but this is not a standard unit. I'm not sure if any of the mods you are using add new units but this could be the cause. Other warnings seems to indicated certain keys were already bound but that shouldn't cause a crash like this.

Problem:
Randomly the game video will freeze while in middle of a game (online/offline)
The game video seems to stick on a frame and never updates again
If I alt tab from the game and switch back the screen goes black
The game sounds continue in background so I believe the game still runs (if I load the replay after I can see the opponent killing my comm so replay shows game continues!)
I can click the close button and mouse over the game close confirmation area (and guess its location) and close the game

Observations:
Crash usually seems to occur when zooming in
I have not been able to identify and trigger or recreate it at will
I run the game windowed

Steps tried to resolve:
I have reinstalled windows (and all drivers (inclusive of video))
Have reinstalled FA/FAF
Removed all mods and created new prefs file
Even with the above I still randomly encounter the issue
note in the game logs below I have the following mods enabled:
advanced stratigic icons
AZUI v4
Ecomanager v3
noshake v2
supreme economy 2.1 no lag

Specs:
I7 4770k, 16gb ram, ATI 7950
System has no problems with any other game – just seems to be FA

I chatted about this in FAF and one chap recommended to press F9 in game for moho log

I have (hopefully) attached the following logs on the off chance it tells anyone what the fault may be:
forever.log
replay.log
the F9 log (moho)

Many thanks, Neill
