Don't be strict on the rating please. It's the only chance I get to play the pro's competitively.

Try asking a few pros, I've found that some are willing to play anyone if you ask nicely =)

How about an eco only tourney? First one to 1 million mass collected total wins. On a map with no reclaim to make it fair of course. And you can't build any combat units or directly interfere with your opponent in any way.

There isn't a tourney system with 4 rounds. Furtheremore i don't know a map where seraphim has a handicap.

A tournament where you play with random factions.
A tournament where you play 4 matches (or a multiple of 4), in which every faction must be played at least once (or that multiple). You can choose to have the maps known before the players fill in which faction they will play, or to have the players fill in their order of faction before they get to know which maps they play.
A UEF only faction. Only weapon you may build is the Novax. Only defence you may build are shields. (I know it's ridiculous)

Looks like i have to host more then one tournament.
To the other ideas, in my eyes too many rules aren't good.
It will confuse the players.

The 2vs2 max 3000 rating sounds also great.

only t1/t2/t3 engies except sparky/scu, t1 transport + interceptor allowed, no other moving units allowed, any building except novax is allowed

A 2v2 with teams drawn by lot could be interesting too. Everybody can take part and has the chance to get a pro as partner.
Maybe the 2000+ guys should be stacked and have to get a worse-rated partner.
