I had a buddy over a couple weeks ago and I had him create a new account and use my main computer so we could play a few games.

Now that I want to use my main PC again I get the "Unique ID found for another user. Multiple accounts are not allowed" error. I tried full uninstall/reinstall of FAF/FA/SUP before I thought to come on the boards and look for a solution, so now I don't even have my buddy's username.

Is it possible to get this reset so I can use my account?

With multiple computers, UniqueID 'sticks' only to your last used machine per account. So your use scenario is fine, just log i once with the machine you want to use before your friend takes over the old one.

Well it doesn't work, like I said, we were sitting there yesterday and couldn't play, just because of a weird security system. We can only login in the wrong combination.

- I play this game on multiple computers with the same account. At Home, at my friends house, even overseas sometimes.
- Another friend of mine can't afford a gaming rig and he plays on my computer once in a while, with his own account, of course.

I can think of many other occasions where this ID check makes it impossible to play the game anymore! Didn't you guys want to improve the crappy GPG lobby, or make it worse, so that you don't even have a chance to play at all???

For your reasons I can't understand the logic. What has smurfing to do with cheating? A good player can't be tricked by a name, he will win or loose the same way he would as if he would know the other Player and his strategy.

So please, remove the UniqueID-check from FAF! Since recent events it isn't even sure that GPG will ever go back online (--> http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=57382) so FAF is the only hope to play this awesome game.

Please take me seriously here, we're sitting here and can't play with our own accounts, and since there's a rating system now I refuse to play with my friends account and vice versa.

Yes I do! Could that be a problem?

I'll get you a special build later today. I'll need you to tell me one line from the logs but you'll be able to log in. :)

Yes sorry. Thygrrr will be able to provide you a build fixing the problem soon.

Huh... Didn't you fix it in the server? (the parameters to the login command were reversed... but technically, you wanted to flip them around in the server). I wonder if there's another underlying bug here...
