Can't join cybran channel

Whenever I go into galactic war, I don't see the chat.
and in the server tab I see

[inviteonlychan: faforever.com->Burnstreet]#Cybran
Cannot join channel (+i)

However, I am cybran and can join squads.
I tried having me invited but it did not work.
