Don't worry, it will be gone on the next build.

Moreover the vault is clutered with multiple versions of the same mod (v1, v2, v3 etc...) which doesn't help visibility either.

Hope this can be solved the mod vault is a really useful addition.

Edit : and now the mod vault seems to be not working at all for the moment !!!

I want them deleted because if I can upload this new one they are redundant WIPs that I couldn't update correctly.

EDIT:

Dumb apostrophe, I should have known better. Right, the mod is uploaded now as ShadowKnight Fixes, should be V1.9. I ask you to delete those others because they are now just clutter. Up to you if you don't care about clutter, but in general I try to keep everything neat and tidy on my PC :)

Don't put any version either. That's why there is a version field in the mod_info.lua.

A search of the vault does not show it, however.

The question being : How should I upload my new version correctly?

1. Generate a new UID.
2. Keep the same name, but increment the version in the mod_info.lua.
3. Folder name doesn't really matter, but it should be the same name too.

In the server, it will be zipped under the name : <mod name>.v<version>.zip.
ie.
asfmod.v0001.zip.
That name MUST be unique.

And no, I won't remove your mods. Don't upload them if you don't want to share them.

I've re-foldered, re-named the folder, re-named the mod identity in mod_info.lua, created about a dozen new UIDs, everything. Even the content is something I've not uploaded before, because while the changes are the same, it now hooks destructively, so it's much, much bigger, containing all the unit data. There is no possibility, a 0% chance, that this is already in the database. I have no clue what it can possibly be recognising.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and can you delete the old versions please, I don't want people downloading that crap any more.

ASF Mod V1
ASF Mod V0
Beam Mod V0
Beam Mod V1
Beam Mod 1.1 V1
Beam Mod V0.2 V0

Yeah, all those can bite the dust, as it were.

If it's say it's in the vault, it's probably that something with the same name, file name or UID is already in it.

this behavior is even worse than having no mod vault (at least in the long run).

I will remove it in the next build.

this behavior is even worse than having no mod vault (at least in the long run).

example:
i am a person, who likes to play a game for some months, and after that play another game. i found a great mod for supcomFA and uploaded it to the mod vault. i played this mod with a couple of friends a couple of times, then i found another new interesting game and started playing it.

after a while, the mod vault does not show this mod anymore... most people start to forget the mod.

somebody else comes along and finds the same mod again, he wants to play it. he wants to upload it to the mod vault. this is not possible. he cannot play this mod with faf...

----------------------------------

please show always ALL the mods (or the lastest versions of them) in the mod vault. you can introduce "pages" as in the map vault, if you want to.
not showing a mod (and therefore making it impossible for people to download them) is a really bad thing!
