I launch FA from steam, it does the set up and whatever else steam does, and I get a black screen with a loading mouse (the spinning blue circle) and it sits there for approximately 5 seconds and then minimizes. The game is launched in my task bar, and I can click on the window to bring it up again, but it only shows the black screen.
I've changed it to run in compatibility mode, I don't have google desktop, or logitech webcam anything installed. I've even tried changing the settings to run in 256 colors, again no good. I've updated my video drivers, verified my directX 9 is installed and up to date (even though I have directX 11)
I also do not have FAF installed, and I would prefer to get my game working first before installing FAF.
I would post a log, but I have trouble accessing the log since the game doesn't really launch in making it difficult to log anything.
Any help would be excellent, although judging by the lack of answers in similar problems (although I haven't found any that seem the same) it seems like the issue is unsolved and no one knows whats going on.
