Indeed, read the message carefully : It asks for FA INSTALL FOLDER, not FA EXECUTABLE.

I do the same, found it strange that it's called SupCom.exe ,but its the same for me and works (from external harddrive).

I think your mistake is that you select the /bin folder, and need only the normal folder. My path is: E:\Installierte Spiele\Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

Unable to See FA exe Steam Version

Hi guys, I'm having some trouble getting FAF to work with my Steam version of Forged Alliance.

I'm trying to point FAF at the ForgedAlliance.exe, but when I try to specify the game path in the lobby options, nothing is coming up. I know I've got the right folder (Supreme Commander Forged Alliance/bin) because I've browsed to it in an explorer window. I've run the game through Steam and checked that it is version 1.6.6. Any ideas?

Two things that may or may not be worthy of note:
The exe file in the Forged Alliance folder is actually SupremeCommander.exe.
Forged Alliance is not installed in my main steam folder, but on a separate partition. This is through the option presented when installing something through Steam, not me ad-hocing it myself.
