it's a 20x20 map. The idea of offmapping bombers for that is ridiculous, as
- It would only work against the back player, the side and front players are too far from the edge
- It would add minutes to the flight times for it
- There are cliffs behind the back player, which would stop some of the bombs
Offmapping is:
- in the game
- not removed by any of our patches
- not even discussed in any of the balance topics
To stop bombers you just need some air patrolling and as I can see most of these games being 3599, T3 air is absurdly cheap.
To stop drops you just need radar and bombers of some description.
I severely doubt that offmapping will decide ANY of these games.
It's there, it's fine, it's a game mechanic, I'm not banning it. In fact, I encourage it.
Comparing it to turning cheating on is childish. You can't turn offmapping off.
Having a "code of honour" when playing is, in my mind, stupid. Different people will decide different things are lame and you'll never get anywhere. If it's in, and it's not fixed, or declared a bug, use it. Whining about it just shows how narrow a game you play.
As in most of the games that will be played today: I leave it up to individual games to decide the strategies.
