* The rules for the tournament specified that every set would be a Best of 3, except that "additional games [are] a possibility in later rounds based on tournament length." The players of the bronze match assumed it was a BO5, so they played a BO5. The gold/silver match players assumed it was a BO3, so they played a BO3.

Also: here is a search string that you can enter into the Java client to pull up all tournament games (copy it to your clipboard, then in the FAF client, check the box for: display search query, and then paste this into the query input field, and press enter to perform the search directly from the query input field).

In the interest of time and, well, reality, I’m going to restrict this tournament to 8 players instead of the typical 16. I do not expect to need more than 8 substitutions unless the apocalypse happens so there is no point in needlessly extending the tournament.

Also, if someone is available to TD this (smaller) tournament let me know, I’m not free this weekend.

This is a 1v1 tournament with no rating limit. To sign up, post your name below. If you do not have a forum account, contact me I will proxy sign you up. DIRECT ALL CONCERNS TO THE MAIN TOURNAMENT THREAD, THIS IS SOLELY FOR PARTICIPANTS, RESULTS, AND REPLAYS.

The four finalists in the tourney will sub into the 'End-of-Year-Championship 2019' tournament based on spot availability. Their placement is the list in which substitutions will be made. A substitution must be present at the tournament start in order to claim their place in the group bracket if a qualified player is absent.

Tournament style:
Single Elimination (BO3) with additional games being a possibility in later rounds based on tournament length.

Choosing Maps:
For each BO3, the players involved will sequentially choose a map to veto until they are down to 3 maps. The first person to veto will be the person in the bottom seed. This will also apply if BO5's are done in the later tournament rounds depending on current tournament length.

When choosing which maps to play first, participants will utilize the map list above. A map higher up on the list will have priority and be the one you play first. The first map will be the alphabetically first (if applicable) 5x5 or 10x10 in the 3 chosen maps. The second map will be a (if applicable) 20x20. The third map will, obviously, be the last map available.
