i used this patch already before. It didn´t work with it either.

BUT!
Today I installed the "daily" FAF Lobby Update. After this i tried again to find a game and now "magically" it made the required update automatically.

So now everything looks good,
But i need to play a game to test it

Waaaaaaahhh!!!!!
I cant update my FA !!!!

My system:
Win 7 64Bit Ultimate German
Hardware Far better than required

I tried already 4 times to complete reinstall the game (from DVD with key!) With Admin rights and XP SP3 Compatibility Mode
after the installation (folder with no spacebar) i can run the update to 3599.
But after that when i try to start a game in FAF i get this Error:

Sorry, Forged Alliance Forever couldn´t complete the upgrade!

When i try now to run the patch again, it can´t find the 3596

On my older machines i always updated from GPG, but this doesn´t work anymore...

at the top right of FA it tells you the version number - yes.

but this can be broken. when i patch to version 1.5.3599 it still shows 1.5.3596 at the top right corner. i can install faf without any problems. after that it shows me the correct version number 1.5.3620.

@finlay27: the patch does not recognize your forgedalliance.exe. this means that you use a cracked forgedalliance.exe (then reinstall the game and the patch will run) or that the path is not correctly entered into the patch interface (click the "browse" button and select the path to your forgedalliance.exe). maybe the patch does not like spaces in the path of you forgedalliance.exe (try installing the game in folders, which names do not contain a space or a symbol).

if you run forged alliance and look at the top right of the main menu it tells you what version of the game u are currently running.

There are two ways to solve the problem.

1. Reinstall the whole game and try the patch again.
2. Download the game from steam. (You need your cd key to do this)

the thing is, none of those patches actually work its always i have tried everything on this page. just get it sorted >.> i have always wanted to play FAF but i cant with a 1.5.3596 game (the screenshot is from the multilanguages one i tried aswell as the others)

I am going to purchase a new boxed or electronic version of FA so I can finally update. Pip or anyone have a recommendation of where to order a boxed copy or if that is not an option where to purchase a downloadable version? I am not on steam but I could get it just for FA I suppose if that is my only choice.

Made it a little further this time Pip, thanks again for your continued assistance! Downloaded the update successfully from your link. However, I have an Application Error:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process ID=0xca0 (3232), Thread ID=0xa5c (2652).

I'll see if i can find anything about this, but I have only basic understanding in this sort of area.

Well I read a little and found that the process ID is generated each time you attempt to run the application? I imagine posting what it said is not very helpful lol.

Just click "lancer le telechargement" (= start download), it should work better than the direct adress (which i posted first because it's a french website).

Try this link and patch, hopefully it'll work on your version even if it's a french patch (it says multi language patch)
