I'll be online on #aeolus tonight. We can have a small chat and I can give you some tips about TD'ing on FAF if you're online and would like that? I believe the main problem here is that you don't announce your tournaments early enough.

Don't worry about being Russian, I'm not a Great Britain guy either and I'm hosting WWC.

You are overreacting. A tournament director has to stay calm. There are always players who have an issue with part xy of a tournament and it's not the right way to post Racist accusations as answer.

I really like the crazy fun formats like 2v2v2v2, crazyrush ffa, hardffa, x2 resources, but hardly anyone of my rating is willing to play these, so maybe a small tourney would convince them to play it atleast once. About the time in advance - Blitz tournaments have 1 hour in advance, and it gets avatars. 24 hours in advance - is it what? Too small a window suddenly? What is the difference?
Why no mention in news and tournaments section, and dragging the process instead? Would it not help spread the word and allow others to participate? Is it not in the rules that tournaments will be published there? Why is it not published then? To tell me later that it was only for my private audience?
Why no understanding that of course my audience is many times bigger then this forum section, and of course in tournaments there would be a lot of my subscribers? Isn't it obvious?

I don't "hand out avatars to my private audience". 3000 subs on Youtube and 2000 on vk.com - is it what? Private audience? Did I stream all that stuff for hours just to give out avatars to some 3 people? It was a conspiracy to extract special golden stuff - avatars?

I messaged Gorton yesterday to put this tournament on News and Tournaments sections, as it is suggested in the Tournaments rules. Still nothing there. Don't want to make this tournament accessable to everybody? Is it some form of descrimination? Nothing to see on hypocrisy here?

Do I need other account, perhaps, some Great Britain guy account who makes fun tournaments for everybody, to host a proper tournament here? Is it like a very big stream of tournaments all the time here on FAF, that you dont need my tourneys that 2000 people watches regularly? Isn't it all done for some "community" here? Isn't people the community, or just some 20-50 guys who download replays for WWPC?

Please forgive that I currently have the biggest active playing community right now. But dont disregard them because they speak russian language and cover it up with bullshit about my "handing avatars" to my what - favourites? If you dont want russians playing tournaments, then just say it that way.

We know that he has a fairly large audiance (probably the biggest of all streamers on FAF) and appreciate the work he is doing. The point is that announcing the tournament at a reasonable time (eg 1 week in advance) doesn't take a lot and would make it more accessable (not everyone reads the forum every day to see if a new tournament is going to happen).

Avatars comes cheap these days.

I agree we need all the exposure that we can get and Yuri's tournaments will help allot.

Avatars remains the only reward we currently get and it would be a shame if the prestige associated with it is diminished. Avatars should not be given to tournaments with modded games unless it's under special circumstance such a tournament to promote a mod.

Definitely a fair chance should be given to all player to participate (obviously within the parameters the TD decides on).

A compromise could be made in limiting what avatars is given or releasing a special set of them. Faction avatars should not be on this list.

I understand your reservations Gorton, but IMO let him get on with it, maybe it helps the game and to attract more active new players Frequent tournaments organised by this guy are better than nothing no?

Blitz is open for all ratings, (300-800 is very limiting) and is not a unique tournament, (very limiting) just a 1v1.
