But i'm not a fan of being the blame when your idea fails.

"failure" of this idea would mean that no one found any bug, which is even better.

I said before to do what you want

thank you so much for allowing me to do this. And now read again what I wrote here:

@biass: i am just going to ignore you and would like to ask you to stay way from my posts/tourneys/topics. Have a nice day and good luck with the election.

and stay away from this topic and other topics of mine. I will ask a mod to remove any further post of yours here and elsewhere.

So lets do this cookie. I havn't see anyone with the legal right to forbid this. Dont let 2 or 3 complainer ruined this good idea!

maybe I will, but not in the next time. I am not really motivated to use my free time for this atm. I spend in total ~164 hours** on making these maps (~30 maps). Requesting some feedback and testing seems to be too much to ask for obviously.

Well when you said something like that, and 'm sure you aware of cookie work, you must be blame.
You really have to stop being so sarcastic and negativ.

thx for your nice comments though :)

**I wrote a script to scan the system logs how long the programs I used were running, excluding simultaneous run times. Testing, making the tournament, the poster or trying to get some attention for this is not counted.
EDIT: there was a bug in that code xD it was actually much more...

Oh come on!! biass and others, he make a huge and great work, spending hundred of hours adapting map with complex script (for me at least) who gives a huge gameplay diversity and refresh overplay map. No one has ever give more fresh air to teamgame. So plz dont bother him, but help him to make this happen... The only goal here is to make him and us having map without a bug that would take him year to track on all map and test all the possible variation. So make of it a tournament give avatars put a td on it even if the map are not tested and if there is not triple under upper bracket

actually the avatar was already approved and I was going to administer it myself, so no work involved for anyone (besides me)...

This would be more of an event than an actual tournament, since tournament maps need to be tested before the tournament.

These maps there are not totally new maps that I created 5 min ago...
I can only repeat myself: these maps are tested. They are really well tested. They are much better tested than some ladder maps. I just want them 100% bug free before I upload them under their final name to the vault, so I dont need to upload a V2 (replays on newer versions dont show up in the vault).

Also I want to generate some feedback for these maps, it already worked, since Mozart and Exotic already posted something. Without initiating some event like this, I dont think any of them would have posted about the maps (even though there is a dedicated forum topic, only for these maps).

To clarify: these maps are not for me playing alone against some AI, they are there for everyone to play on them. The options to customize the maps are quite numerous and mistakes in the implementation can happen. Since they are based on the original maps, the errors from that maps can also be carried over (partly). I want to avoid that as good as possible, however: since I cant watch replays on them (great working server, they dont appear in the vault) and no one cares to tell me when something is wrong there, how do you these errors can possibly get fixed?? That is the motivation behind this event (I didnt call it tournament btw)

Maybe it would be more interesting to make it similar to 'ladder week'.
Instead of winning a ladder game, you need to provide a game you played on one of the provided ultimate maps and give meaningful feedback (which can contain bugs, but also spawn/mex/hyrdo placement, looks, reclaim, etc.)
And give the avatar to the person that played the most games (like ladder week) or gave meaningful feedback for most amount of maps.

yea that's a good idea. I will think about the exact system for distributing the points on the weekend, the date of this hasn't been announced anyway (yet). I also didn't make a poster (yet), I need to break some things first, so the pictures show broken stuff...
maybe I combine your suggestions and only count 10 games per map or so (so that there are also different maps and not only wonder open xD)

Most feedback -> most games -> most wins

That would probably bring its own complications, so not sure if its a good idea.

Or make a bingo like game where you have a dozen configurations and people provide you with games with different configurations and the first person playing that specific config will gain a point.

idk just posting what bad ideas that come to mind.

about the second pair with the starting area, kinda same story there where it seems more bland and grainy and the decals dont really fit (in old they fit a tiny bit better but still not great)
