Just a thought, why have strict rosters at all? By all means have people submit teams to gauge interest, but the pool of players for each country is potentially quite large which would go some way to mitigating scheduling issues, so even if not all the best players are able to play all the time, the country that can field the best players over the course of the tournament will still win. That maybe make any prize fund splitting more difficult with potentially a greater number of participants.

Also, would it be possible to create avatars for faf member of the winning country? Maybe special ones for winners that participated? Don't know know how practical that is from a coding point of view to prevent abuses or w/e but i think it would be a nice touch and could raise the interest of the tourney quite a bit.

If we can raise a prize pool of about 400$ i think that would be great, this tournament needs good exposure and advertisement, its needs more than one director, and its needs participents.

In other words i would like someone to help me run this, its not a simple job, but before i dedicate my time i want numbers. I want people to submit teams. Once i have a decent amount of teams I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN

I actually have some money, like €50, that i wanted to use for a tourney but forgot about doing.

I wouldn't mind giving it for a tourney like this. (maybe with some other donators? idk)
So if some legit tourney director is planning on doing this or something similar. He can PM me about it.

You've seen yesterday morax how difficult it was to launch a 8/8 game at 80%. Because we were not a lot of not caring about rating and balance and not a lot to just want to have a fun game. I ended in a no rush game you ended in a 2vs2

That is not true, at all, jackherer. There are plenty of people in FaF that play for fun and don't give a damn about rating.

What I meant is can't the glory of being the "top, best, whatever" be enough rather knowing there will be money involved?
