Alright I resign as WWPC director.

Someone else can pick it up.

Sorry to hear that, and thank you for all the work you've done to date. If you feel like reconsidering, let me know and we can figure out a way forward.

Thank you for your explanation.

Where to start... okay... here goes:

3) Seemingly Empty Promises

Per my linked thread, I've been told early on that we'd get a smidge of funding and support. I have yet to once get a real convo with visionik to have a real conversation about my ideas and get to know him. I know he's a really busy guy but I'm curious as to why this never took place. How did others get their time? Am I being too offensive given my history in BC? Am I not good enough a player to weigh in? What's up?

I don't know of your history with BC so that is not being held against you ;-)

The people I talk with are almost all people that have sent me a message in chat that led to a larger conversation. If you don't see me on IRC chat, feel free to sent me a skype message - I'm visionik there too. I'm sure we can work something out.

I completely disagree with Morax, I only ever find 2k+ games interesting to watch. It's ok if the caster isn't so knowledgeable as long as they don't go and claim outrageous things as fact ^^

Thanks for the positive feedback, very important for me at this moment.

Anyway, I did 3 of the 5 games of JaggedAppliance x TA4Life and it seems like I'm best to show people with my rating (650) on how to watch and learn from a replay, at least for now. I always have some small doubts about units comparison and then I get into a player view just to see that unit stats and compare with others from the same race or the opponents equivalent. But I'll probably get better in calling all about the action that's happening, so far I can only speak half as fast as I wanted and needed. One game I slowed down just to get around all that was happening and stayed like that for a long while, lol.

I mean, hell, speed2 sounds boring as can be but I love playing with him and watching his casts / teachings

That is good to know. I'm working on removing my background noise issue, as well as improving image quality. As far as the cast itself, I'm thinking of ways of making it more entertaining or at how it could be good for learning purposes. As far as I can teach anything..... Also still need to get more relaxed and fun, I can do that naturally when casting in my home language, it's amazing how you change when talking in another language and it's just so damn hard to snap out of it. This probably will only come with practice, I'll probably just keep casting and trying to get better at it.... For instance, I may do the JaggedAppliance x TA4Life bo5 for practice.

I might recommend casting games at your level where you can provide valuable input. If you try to cast games where there is technical strategy beyond your level you'll sound like BrinkOfInsanity.

Key strategy for getting good: start slow and pace yourself to build to greatness.

I may do that, but those are the games I'd like to cast the most....... But I could keep doing them as an exercise, while also watching later a "pro" casting the same game and learning from that. This leave me free to do any crazy stuff. And I love Insanity entusiasm and voice quality, hopefully I can keep that while also bringing great information. I love to learn the game by watching replays, and I will just keep doing that while sharing the information for anyone that's watching. Like I'm planning sometimes to even pause the game just to do a better analisys of what's going on and what should happen.

For now, what do I need to do to have the WWPC mentioned on the "What's New" page or wherever it is will be done? The knockout listing post is made biweekly every Wed and the champions are listed there. Can I simply just ask that it is read and updated?

Let me know, and I'm still very much interested in visionik's take on this matter.
