Much fewer people play ladder + there's plenty of people who got a lot of rating a long time ago and haven't played since (even if they are not that good, since level of gameplay has gone up), makes it significantly harder for newer people to get close to their rating

It will. I'm just letting the current tourney list tone down. I would say late-to-early December is about when this will take place.

This needs to happen, there's been no tourney for people around 1500-1800 to join since prime commander. I volunteer to help organising it. I think <1800 is a good rating threshold.

I've always been virulent when talking about topics that i care. I probably made quite a lot of victims in the balance section too
But in this community i have always, and will always be trolling, but without any meanfull beside. Sure it's some hard troll, but I'm of course glad to see some people involved in tournament organization again. I know how hard it is, and how any wrong step leads you to whineland.
I admit i was a bit jealous to see all those tournaments for joes, and not a single tournament for top players. I'm quite old school on that point, on gpgnet maybe 10% of tourneys had a rating limit.
So anyway, excuse me Morax, or Blodir and Zock if some of my trolly posts were a little to hardcore, and keep going on the amaizing job you're doing
