Please don't do that. It's killing FAF.

If you like the work done with it, you should play online to keep it alive. (you can play online with bots only).

You can start the game with all faf improvements from C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin. But you should only use this is you do not have an internet connection.

The easiest way to play single player is to just create a passworded game and play with bots or play the co op campaigns by yourself.

It is better to be online even if you are not playing with other people as it shows zep the amount of people interested and active. If everyone played offline then zep would cease to work on faf because it would seem that nobody is interested in it.

HI here, sorry for posting here. I cannot start new topic.
I'm trying to start single player (me vs bots) on current patch.
When I started from desktop SupComFA shortcut the 1.5.3599 version launches.
How do I start latest version?

I know this is an old thread, but I can confirm this problem. My Game.prefs file contained the line "LastColor = 11," which was causing the issue. Switching this to 1 seems to have solved it. I have no idea why this happened, but the problem came up after my very first FAF game.

For the last time : We do not touch your original installation. It's impossible that it's broken. It's useless to re-install.

It's probably your prefs file that was alterted in an incompatible way with vanilla FA.

I can confirm that I have had the same issue as well. I played a single-player skirmish earlier in the day. I had a friend that wanted to play using Forged Alliance Forever.

We played and the online match worked well, but when I wished to play a single player skirmish match later, none of the map information would show up, and I was unable to change any settings.

I'll reinstall FA as well.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured, but I played a skirmish earlier today before I downloaded and installed FA Forever, and then later after I installed FA Forever, it was broken. This is what led me to be suspicious. I guess I'll just reinstall, though.

FA Forever does NOT change ANY of the original forged alliance files. It is impossible for your single player skirmish mode to be broken because of FA Forever. If you are having trouble determining the cause, you can always re-install forged alliance.
