That is astronomically useful for participants to coordinate their matches as you can add each other's city and get an idea of what times are realistic to play.

As another idea to promote wwpc, you could put the # of weeks defended in the playoffs

As another idea to promote wwpc, you could reward ($50) the person with the best (most viewers) WWPC live stream.

Close, but no cigar!

Say you have two matches A and B on map 1 with four players (2 1v1s), Round 1 consists of both times map 1 is played.

The game title is more of an awareness for the tournament rather requiring perfect documentation. So long as people post replays everything should be jolly and good.

I appreciate the thought, though.

The documentation says to name matches in a 123 style like "WWPC U1500 KO Round 1"

But the knockouts post lists the matches ABC s tyle like:

A - Greenio vs Anihilnine on map 1
B - Scoot vs Hascins on map 1
C - Winner of A vs Winner of B on map 2

Therefore I suggest changing the document to be ABC style like "WWPC U1500 KO Round A"

If you and your opponent simply can't meet until a later time then by all means play the maps as much you please. If you are not available to play it's pretty much a given your opponent is going to be better prepared than you by the time the game takes place.

The problem I have is when two people are online, playing games, but not the WWPC KO match. Why delay if you are online playing already?

I can understand that if you login and want to warm-up a bit but really once you get one game done you should be fine. Sometimes I got to get in the groove myself before I play but really this should just be a quick 15-20 minute thing.

Using an excuse like "I am having dinner" for THREE HOURS while you are in the lobby and actively chatting just tells me you are going to get a "yellow card" and eventually "red." I don't observe everything but it stacks up. I had to boot HellCat from the U1100 because he was lying about trying his best and just simply wanted the U1100 Champ avatar - pathetic.

Does that make sense, Hascins? Over time action will be taken...

I don't think people lied to you or some other TD....YET! But if one of the player can't play due to whatever reasons and the other player has time available....is this player supposed to avoid the maps played?

I really like your vision of the tourney...but as long as there is no rule to enforce "not preparing"...i think it's just gonna stay as it is...maybe it just get's more dishonest then. And I'm affraid in long term this could drive people away from the tourney.

The idea of people delaying games so they can whore builds for days makes me angry and I'm don't even have time to play atm. If I had to deal with timezones AND that shit I would never sign up even if I could, as Morax said its just selfish and inconsiderate. I think it would be nice if people had to tell eachother their maps for finals, because at least one game (usually at least one game each way) was ruined by lack of map knowledge in every Bo5 I played. But there's no excuse for delaying knockouts for practice when everyone finds out the maps in advance.

Good for you, brian. I don't care if you think you can beat everyone or not. Just get the matches done - end of story.

You sound like you are so desperate to be champ that it's all that matters in life when in reality it's making the tournament more difficult to manage.

Play by the rules and be considerate of the others; your post "my shot" just sounds selfish and inconsiderate of others.

What's the big deal? No one is going to be good at the maps at the beginning and your shot at being champ early on is low. You have to work hard to get there.

I'll be honest, I have played all of these maps so much that map preparation is permanent.
Ok, maybe I don't have crazy sand-boxed builds. But I have enough ladder experience such that I have a rough build for every map.
