Possible Offmap fix?

Would it be possible to implement an indicator on the map border pointing to the off map unit? well its lua, so yeah its possible, but how much effort would it take?
the indicator would be some kind of arrow and the unit's strategic icon. It also would be clickable, so you can attack it.
