Sorry but i have to close the thread at this point. It's far away from beeing constructive now.

I hope our work is more transparent now and we are always open for more questions or ideas how we can im improve our work but you have to write a private message to the moderator group in the future. New threads will be deleted as it's against the rules. This thread was an exception.

We will try to post more details about our actions and we are planning to integrate a system that you will receive a message if you get kicked from the chat or the game.

Now back to topic, the main difference here, you say "you'r big" and that angers me because it's bullshit. First time ever a mod PM'ed me was 2 years ago Voodoo, in the 5 years before that - no problems ever, so your point is kinda invalid - also you clearly don't have all informations, because if there's one thing you could nail me on it's my behaviour towards Apfonas which was clearly off the line at looking back.

And because i really talking myself into rage now: Terraforming, rule explicitly says that terraforming is tolerated if it's used to flatten obstacles is allowed but not nice, thats in my opinion the only thing that really needs to be hanged, yes i know that really can happen by accidents (as it did when me and Klavorix first found out how to get on the hill on firelight) but it's obvious if it's done on purpose, so i'm all for clear rules.

Add to rules:
Editing your settings to prevent 2p2 connection is forbidden.
Terraforming to flatten obstacles is considered an exploit.

Also what also pisses me is that you hide behind some new account, that you only created for this discussions.

you said you did it once but there is no way to know if you are doing it again so Gorton saying you stopped doing it worth nothing ,some people were banned because maybe they did what they used to do ,
mods treat others in case of someone say "unban me and i wont do it again" they wont do that because they basicly dont trust him . this did not happen here.

mostly because you are close to mods so you are "Grown up" to not lie and they can trust you
but because of that you were not treated like others which is exactly the point of this post and clearly there is something wrong with the mod system here, basicly its a group who can do anything they want and justify what each one of this group is doing, because as we saw each time someone accuse a mod another mod says there is surly a reason why that mod did that and not even asking or digging anymore to find the truth.

You knew what you were doing was wrong. If you find an exploit that lets you get RAS in the first ten seconds of the game, you don't need an explicit rule to tell you that you shouldn't be using it in ranked.

For all the talk like "common sense" should prevail instead of hard and fast rules, why is it that some people get a pass for treading from the grey area into the black, and yet others don't?

Why is it that the arbitrary application of the rules seem to always land to the moderators' (or their friends) benefits?

Users get bans for saying rude words, for having 'attitude problems', for talking about drugs. Moderators delete posts because they can't take criticism, they abuse the clientkill function then try and cover it up; they act on reports of in-game and in-chat abuse selectively; they kick and ban without warning for minor infractions; they shut down balance opinions they don't agree with and when the evidence becomes impossible to ignore, they offer a barely sincere "I'm sorry". ubergeek abusing his mod powers against FunkOff was a running joke, he consistently randomly deleted posts he didn't agree with when it came to Mercy or Bomber balance. Other moderators sought to actually conspire for his removal. Guess that didn't work out.

Smurfing protection is only an inconvenience for moderators who knowingly let players smurf who are in their clans.

I'm not saying all moderators are bad, but the ones who are bad are really corrupt. There isn't an excuse for clientkill abuse, there isn't an excuse for giving some players a pass on ladder abuse or in-game exploits. One moderator actually used cheats in a money tournament.

So if moderators had to be supported by the existing clique to get in, then I would say they are fruit of the poisonous tree.

For what we have see, you Admin team deserve a ban

Wasnt expect that many off you done what i saw on all this pages ,so like the permanent baned players some off you showld be on same place ,the diference its that no one can baned you ! Or can?

This topic was not created today or yesterday, already another was closed Sheppard so admin that not talk its because they not belong lets be honest.

It seems to me that only speak here who has more power.

Since we are talking openly, I think more than half of the community is afraid to speak free, because of Admin excessive power.

Do not get me wrong but I think there really is a serious problem at the moment.

And when there are more than 12 pages, we have a problem dont denied.

What seems to me , finished the week this topic will be closed,problems muffled, and all our worries continue.

How many moderators speak here ?
Honestly, whether they are acting well or not, the only moderators, that speak at least show worries and discuss with us the problems.

This already shows that they care.

But what about the others , they exist ?

Again, this is no longer a discussion. I tried like 4 times to be constructive, and I got pretty much ignored. The trolls aren't ignored, they're fed.
I said it and I'll say it again. This thread is a waste of time since it won't lead to any result if it continues like this.

Little background information, I acted as a retrospective moderator (Scrum terminology) for about a year, so while I'm not claiming to be a pro, I do have experience in that topic.

now there are at least 2 more things that can be discussed further. one was mentioned already so i wont do it again.

i will however present the second argument. i absolutely dont think there is a consens (among the playerbase of faf) that no one should be banned for their first "mistake".

e.g. i'm fairly sure most player who have been teamkilled or heavily insulted would like to see an immediate reaction. and its not like temporarily banning for teamkilling or cheating without a warning would greatly reduce the playerbase.

The question to ask in this case isn't how do you know he stopped its how did they find out in the first place? If the only way they found out is because he told someone and there isn't anyway of knowing if someone is doing this then what exactly can the mods do other than his word?
