Maybe it is now 2x 40Euros for those servers for the game, because the developers on Slack need it to test stuff they come up with 1-2 days every year, you know to test this ICE stuff
Anyway there is no clear statements for FAF of what the long term goals and short term objectives are, a lot of opaqueness and vague blabber you would expect from a promoter. The donations are not going anywhere specific which is what in investing is called sending your money to money heaven, but some people like to think their money is going to support FAF which it is, but they have no say and get no assurance what it will be used for.
Maybe the money is piling up and will be stored to fund the server costs forever like FAF has as goal. Some risks here would be Visionik dies, his bank account is closed, all money is inherited by his family who don't know or ask where it came from. Another possibility is that he uses the cashflow to amortize the losses he made in this project like some zombie banks that are still out there following 2008 XD
Anyway, he is not involved anymore, which is understandable. When you invest your time and money into something and a few of the people who promised to run the project and keep it in good standing disappoint you, you sell, or abandon it if its worth very little.

I'm just going to say that the timelines and facts in this post are very mixed up/incorrect.
But indeed there could be some more clarity where donations are used for and what kind of expenses FAF has right now. Currently dedicated server is about 50€/month, beyond that I don't know, all-in-all FAF should have quite a nice buffer by now.
