how is you cpu behaving against older cpus?
what you are talking about is sounding like something is TERRIBLY wrong.
just let the replay run and write down what the real time is, when the simulation is at: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 1:30 and 2minutes.
when your 2 minutes IN GAME are reached and your real clock is over 4 minutes, tell us.
we will find a solution!

Code:
taskset -cp 0 (pgrep ForgedAlliance); sudo renice -2 -p (pgrep ForgedAlliance)

Makes me 1 Simspeed better. (lower niceness than -2 did not gave any performance for me)
When i need even more performance I remove every bigger program from the first core.

I guess there is something similar possible for Windows: Core-Affinity and Process Priority?

If you spend time playing this game just do yourself a favor and get a Intel Core i3-4370 or Intel Core i5-4690K and don't overclock.

Just take the time to read a proper guide on overclocking on overclock.net or xtremesystems. i7 920 clocks really easy the first 600 / 700 / 800 Mhz above stock even on mediocre components. If you want to gain real performance, free, this is the only way to go. Just do it right because instability sucks more than being slow.

I don't quite understand this one. On my I7 920 core 0 can actually go 177 MHz faster then the others because the multiplier goes up to 22 (The turbo option in my bios).

Because Core 0 is most likely to be used at the same time FA is trying to use it. When another application sends threads in between FA's threads then FA must wait very slightly on the rare occurrence this happens.

That is why you will see only ~3% performance increase.... Although if you core0 increases more than 3% then you will see no benefit, and possibly a reduction in speed.

So, if you already play SupCom2 fluidly, it isn't a software issue either (most probably).
You should most likely talk with a really technical guy, though these are hard to find nowadays.
With problems that subtle, your best bet is reinstalling windows and drivers.
At least this is what the "specialists" recommend at my area when I embarass them
with such questions. In many cases it works.

By the way, your specs are respectable. Not long ago, people were bragging
and not letting anyone joining Seton's if they hadn't your cpu(which of course can't be more away from the truth, as at that time no cpu
could handle that map. We have reached barely acceptable levels with haswell and overclocked 2000 and 3000 series of intel chips)

yourself. Your specs are way above your average ladder game, so it might be your hardware is throttling because
of bad cooling.
