The date has also been confirmed as saturday, I am just looking for a time now, I know that the average joes tourney is also taking place on the saturday so I will try and get it done just before the tournament starts so that you can go straight from the interview to Speed2 who will be live streaming the tournament. I plan to cast a few of the games that speed does not cast so stay tuned for that too!

Err.. Firstly, Does he still do this shit anymore? Secondly, What am I supposed to ask him considering he does not actually contribute to this game anymore, and thirdly how do you propose that I get him in the first place? I don't think he cares anymore. He has made his money and that's it.

Chris Taylor came on during one of FAFs big events and was involved in a long cast that went on for hours. He is happy, and proud of what FAF has accomplished from what I recall. He was truly amazed at what a passionate community could create, just to play his game!

If you ask me, FAF nothing but flattery to the man. As for contacting him; someone knows surely a way - just not me...
...and the money comment - I'm almost sure Gpgnets' fait was because he was too good of a guy, and not a evil greedy bugger; His passion for RTS made the games we love, and I bet he's a proud father to these babies - regardless of the paths they take.

I believe it would be awesome to get CT here for another Round of Q&A w/ Visionik, especially since FAF has a awesome new owner, and has changed in at least a few other ways too I'm sure :)

LOL well that last part is a bit harsh, but you obviously can't ask him any development related questions anymore. So perhaps there are other questions to ask him like "does he secretly play on FAF" ?

Okay so, do you remember when this was a thing that I did like 2 episodes of and then stopped because I was trying to do them too frequently? Well I am bringing it back hurrah!

So for the third edition I am going to interview Visionik, the date has not been properly arranged yet but it will be sometime in the nearest of near futures and I wanted to open up most of the questioning to the community!

Post your questions in reply to this thread please!
I will of course be asking some questions of my own as well.

Rules:
No repeated questions, it keeps this page nice, clear and pristine.

No questions related to balance. Why? Because balance is now largely determined by the community (or it will be eventually), not visionik.

Phrase your questions nicely.

No troll questions. (Yes, I mean it).

can you get Chris Taylor on there (pretty please??)

The numner of people in Aeolus is now over 1000 in peak times which is great i think...does he have any number in mind he wants to achive, and if yes how does he want to make that happen?

What's the thing he worries the most about concerning faf?

What does he think about frequent rating resets?

Edit: Quote in question

Zock asked about Tourny directors - I think this is part of promoting and growing the community, so it would be in the promoters group. BTW, I plan on sponsoring some MAJOR tournaments to bring old players back to the game and new players into it. For example, I am going to run at least one tournament with a $10,000 grand prize. My #1 goal for FAF is to make it more fun, and my #2 goal is to get more players into the game. And I think tournaments are going to play a big part in both of those goals.

Increasing the attractiveness of the FAF platform is probably as vital in the long run as getting the internal systems (council, volunteers) set up. The front page of faforever.com for example looks quite outdated and might give the impression that the game is unattractive or outdated. While it can in fact (more than) compete with modern games.

If that doesn't take up the bulk of the interview - some quick questions: can you just reset and reactivate galactic war? There's an appetite to play it even without any further improvements. Is there scope to get access to the FA engine code? This would obviously be a complete gamechanger, literally. It would be awesome if visionik could explore it with whoever's got it (and is doing nothing with it but would profit from increased FA sales and the buyout if they gave it to us) and could find out the ball park costs - tens of thousands of USD (we could crowd fund that easily) or millions (not worth it unless visionik is Mark Zuckerberg)?
