Even more since they are "hard" to get, they can be well suprised after having played the game for quite some time.

Yes might get aware of these achievement in aeolus. But i've no idea why they would try to un-lock them by "sandboxing" the game. I mean achivement doesn t give you anything more than satisfaction after getting them rightfully (that s how i feel it should be at least)

* That being said, what seems "no achievement" for an experienced player *is* an achievement for the inexperienced one
* Achievements should be spread out over people's journey through the game
* No rating-based achievements, those are just not achievable by anyone

And:
* @Ithilis_Quo Any ACU survives a nuke impact if it's in the outer ring of the explosion.
* @keyser I never said it's "impossible", I said it's too rare. The only chance for most players to get this achievement shouldn't be "let's do a game where I kill you in a transport - you know, I want this achievement"
* @Mr-Smith LABs only have 1 vet at 2 kills :P

No cant, or only when abuse shield bug.

Nuke penetrate shields and dont care about how much shield you have around. Its still take 70 000dmg. And full vet T3 + double nano sera acu have still less as 70´000hp

In curent balance is not possible. Acu is balance to die on nuke in any cause

(T1 engies would be allowed to build from all factory types)
  • Air
  • Naval
  • Support Commanders
  • Experimentals - this one can get intresting :)
    • This one could also have 3 categories: Land, Air, Naval
  • Sparkies - PD creep master

3 stages for each of these achievemets:
  • against over 500 rated player
  • against over 1000 rated player
  • against over 1500 rated player

I would like to see some achievements like these where you actually have to do something to achieve them, not just server throwing them in your face for playing normally and doing nothing special. That is not what the word achieve is for in my honest opinion. Cause of that I also don't like many of the already done achievements since you don't need any effort to get them. Hopefully more people will share my opinion on this matter.

P.S.:I'll update this list if I can think of more.

The guideline is;

Achievements should be achievable by any player who puts a reasonable amount of time and effort into the game in order to get them.

  • By "Achievements" I mean 100% of all achievements
  • By "any player" I mean players who want to get 100% achievements
  • By "reasonable amount of time" I mean ~500h of gameplay (equals 500-1000 games)
  • By "reasonable effort" I mean that one sometimes needs to focus on something in order to get an achievement, but it shouldn't be overly difficult or rare.
  • There should be easier achievements and harder ones

The way I see it; It should be possible to get all achievements without playing the games for 10 years or the requirement to "cheat" (e.g. hire a friend for pseudo-games or repeating something boring 1000x).
Achievements should encourage players to play the game more, explore its features and approach it with different play styles

Good achievements
* Everything that is already in the list
* Build N of <something> in total
* Build N of <something> in a single game
* Kill an ACU with X
* Kill N of <unit>
* Do X within N minutes
* Kill an ACU by dropping a CZAR on it (oh, new idea :-))

Bad achievements
* Be #1 on ladder (violates "by any player")
* Reach a rating above "X" (violates "by any player")
* Play 5000 games (violates "a reasonable amount of time")
* Kill 7 enemies in an 8-player FFA game (too difficult)
* Kill an ACU in a transport (cool, but too rare)
* Hit an airplane with a nuke (too rare)

I'm looking forward to your creative ideas! Please do not discuss the purpose of achievements.
