How about randomizing the damage values of every unit just before the game starts. Any integer between 1 and 10000 for every shot. I would love an aurora doing 10K damage per shot

My bet is random maps. But it could have been random balance patch. Or totally randomizing the game you're going to play in the first place. I'm taking all of those.

Make it a random power outage at one of the two players, at a random time.

Now they have no choice but to go for an attack. Turtling is just too dangerous.

BTW: This OP isn't that bad. Do you guys remember the "solar bean" thread at the GPG forums?
