Also you might wanna start the game once without FAF, some time ago there was the problem that the settings would not save otherwise, not sure if that is still the case.

I just got a new computer and I am getting Forged Alliance through steam. How do I take a Steam account of SupCom and Forged Allaince and get it working on FAF? I'm sure this has been asked before...I've found a number of posts, but they are from 2010, even way back to 2007.

What is the latest information?

Install FA through Steam and let it update. Then download FAF, setup your username and password, log-in and let that patch. Then you're ready to go.

If playing through FAF close Steam as it doesn't need to be open and despite what many claim causes huge slow-downs for some users.

The first time you try to play using FAF you will need to select the path to the FA folder and link it to it. Its easy to do just follow the onscreen instructions which will appear.
