Connectivity to FAF is fucked recently IMO.

Does this mean you're not planning on giving us the bugfix patch which would be really nice, in late July/August? I'm fine if we don't get a balance period, but holding back a bunch of bugfixes which are ready to roll... That wouldn't go down well :/

Also while we know you don't have control over this DC issue, is it possible for you to just let the hosting service place know what's going on, just in case it's them and they can fix it?

That's exactly what would happens if a router was acting up.

I have no controls over that, sorry.

What can also happens is that the "check if alive" function is too short.
I will change that eventually, but no ETA (don't count of it before the end of the year, I'm not planning to work on FAF until then).

Many people are being disconnected at the same time though. Which means its not individuals either.

If it's not the server, I wonder if it's a router/switch close to the server that has become instable and reboots automatically.

It also looks like the game result was not processed by the stats server (yet?) (No win-lose in the replay vault, no updated ladder rating.)

Exactly as the others say, will be in the chat channel or game lobby, get a "ding" in the background, check and get a message about lost connection to the server.

Happens to everyone in the channel or game lobby at same time. Most of time you can close FAF and come back on and it will go straight back in, other times it will say the server is down for maintenance.

When asking #aoelus everyone says it happened to them.

As I say not a complaint just didnt know if there's something we can do to all help

Same here, also Netherlands.

Some evenings every 5 minute that disconnect. Games itself go never wrong though.

I have seen this about 3 times in the last two days. I get a TCP error, as if my computer timed out, but the entire player list shifts to IRC grey and everyone gets the TCP error at the same time. Not just one person. The server does not actually disconnect completely, but it does time everyone out of all the functions except for chat.

To me (location Netherlands) it also happened quite often in the past weeks, that after a game finished the FAF lobby appeared to have lost connection to the server (leaving the chat tab active, the rest disabled). Usually when then closing FAF and restarting/reconnecting, everything is fine again. So the server indeed is not down then. But sometimes then the replay vault does not show anything, and when going to ladder rankings, the connection to the statistics server does not complete.
I don't have a good log file at the moment, will post one if it re-occurs.
