This is all the very same encouraging spirit that I led to me conclude that continuing work on a 5k word post would invite only day after day of non-stop trolling by you guys who are "the semi pros" so I said f*** it. Yet here you are continuously trolling yet again.

Im wrong hes right. Got it. You win I lose, I've quit now I'm referring you to the moderators and you guys can politely f*** off. All of us new players get it. Maybe my next guide be titled

OMG I am so nostalgic for FAF right now. I am seriously having so many memories flood back to me! Sadly, this still isn't enough to make me come out of retirement.... Well guys, have fun with this Hoff guy. He's a good source of entertainment to be sure!

Nobody has anything against you and everyone appreciates the work you put behind this, but sometimes you just have to evaluate the credibility of your own advice. Bad advice is bad advice there is no way around it. You implied that you were a "Semi-Pro" player so that your advice would gain some credibility, but obviously you are not a semi-pro on either the literal or the metaphorical sense of the word. Global rating is a fairly accurate representation of your performance on your usual map repertory: however blunt it might sound, according to the rating system you are below the average level of play.

My build order in game is never the same from game to game. I'm 77 games in rated 900. I'm semi-pro. I know that I wont be slapping QMS around T1 MEXs but I guess I don't know the intricacies of sitting on my ass in Setons and doing nothing for 20 min and then attacking with 200 ASFS because my opponents didn't harass me. Or inviting a player I trolled earlier in the day to a game I kicked another player out of only to teamstack 3 1k+ players against a team with only 1 1k+ player on Setons, like you Black.

I dont think I'll be taking your consideration of fair and unfair to heart.

TheHoff u r a little unfair I think. U know i had a game with you and you were spamming the in-game chat with CAPS (you also addressed your teammate but used the global in game chat). So maybe the responses you recieve are at least partially based on your actions and behavior?
Also I saw your BO in game and I dont think it was very special nor efficient. Not being mean, just what it looked to me (e.g. building nukes in line with basic cybran shields while not shielding the pgen next to them).

I like the idea of helping the community, thanks for that. You are part of it too, so you may learn something from the comments here as well (I vote for exchanging ideas respectfully on both sides)

No shit. This attitude towards us "the new" and "the not as skilled" here in this forum its in every other reply in this thread. Little positive encouragement, lots of snickers. On these forum the lack of help when asked for is also bullshit.

Its in the game too by anybody rated 1k and up and dont deny it because I have the screenies. The first thing coming out of your mouths folks is... STFU noob whats your rank? What do you know?

Personally am tired of it. Especially when I play with you guys too as I get into the 1k game crowd. About the only thing superior in your game is your eco. Your tactics and strategy isn't much better and for some players in fact in some ways because you have better eco it masks the fact that your strategy sucks.

Dont like my guide GTFO and write you own. Want to contribute then bring honest reasonable discussion on why this or that wont work. Back up the statements of what will work. Just where is that in this community?

And what about dropping the haughty attitude and actually help him to fix / improve his guide instead of blaming him for trying to help the community on his spare time?

He's very right when he says "it wouldn't be FAF if there wasn't somebody coming up with a smart ass comment." That's precisely what prevents many, many Steam users to come around here.

Of course a guide for beginners will not be useful for a seasoned player, who doesn't need this kind of guide in the first place.

NB: I'm not saying the guide is good, just that the intention to write one is good enough for the community to help him out instead of blaming him.

However I am not here to offer arguments against any of your statements, there's simply too much wrong for me to bother writing that huge wall of text.

I do want to point out that although your enthusiasm is admirable, you should self evaluate more carefully. "Semi-pro" is a very flexible term, but the way you use it is outright wrong, a merely average player simply can't be considered "semi-pro". That being said, I don't think your guide is very useful.

You say as a general rule to start upgrading your mexes at the first 4mins. Well, this can lead you to serious trouble, if you are at a small map where t1 can punish you before you say Chris Taylor. Upgrading so early can have merit in big maps especially with abudant rocks nearby, where fast teching will not cost you the game.

Great since HQ and slave factories are documented exactly nowhere and nobody who wasnt here when FAF was created seems to know about them. Clear it up for me.
