lol

well actually it does. to say you are right because you say you are right is the essence of self-righteousness. put on your thinking cap for once and you'll realise it right away.

i'm out. talking to u is a waste of time.

I never claimed to be a saint only a modder and i'm sure as sh!t not here to win any popularity contests with the likes of you. (Neither have the time nor do i care.) Far as I'm concerned, if your not here to help, then your in the way and will be treated as such.

BTW, being "right" doesn't make one "Self-Righteous", just right... If you can't handle my little snipe about being too bloody lazy to learn to programming, then you should stay off the internet as it's not a safe place for those with easily bruised egos.

Oh, so you assume I am one of them? If so, you know that because... oh ya, you dont, but you assume only. Good job.

See, the problem seems to be that you won't see beyond your bubble. Yes, not everyone can program (all lazy slackers, I know) but that doesn't mean people do not contribute. Anaryl programmed as well, Shai-Hulud created the intro for Gyle's casts and I initiated and worked on the new FAF logo, some pics for the community and even a project one of the mods asked me to help with. It's no programming, no, but hell, it brings the community together, even if only a tiny bit. You on the other hand do great things programming, but pls, stick with and write less on the forum for what you write in this thread does the opposite. It pisses people off (how many disagree with your behavior here?). You really think it's ok to present yourself and talk about others the way you do?
You say people overreact here. I say people care. They care about a nice community and getting along where everyone does what he or she can to help out. If you do not believe in it I suggest you stop posting.
Personally, it makes me sad and angry to see how self righteous and arrogant some guys around here are. FAF deserves better.

You will find a number of people have projects that don't make it to release. e.g I think I've coded about three versions of the SMS - but my only launched change is the Sparky changes. Other things people investigate things that may or may not be possible - for example a couple of pet projects are multiplayer "re-syncing" (saving basically but for disconnects) another is ... hmm I just forgot. Anyways your OP had no context - as you may have gathered from everybody replying with "Uhhh what?"

Beyond all that.. Don't you think your reaction is a bit over the top?

Moderators: I move that this thread be locked and anyone wishing to continue this can do so with me via PM.

Thank you. You made it very clear that constructive input is not welcome as it is "complaining" all the time. The game is flawless. And if it is not only programer or at least people who can read such code are invited to comment.

I am not a programmer. I am a medicore player at best. However, I would love the game to be as fair and logical as possible. I respect all the hard work of the programers. in fact, I thought that as non-coder my constructive thoughts would be appreciated - if you can't fix an issue let others at least know that there is something fishy so the pros can have a look at it.

Obviously that is not the case, rather it is: "don't mention something you can't fix yourself."

At least I have tried to argue for my point of view by giving facts only to get answers like: "you are lazy", "you can't code", "you keep complaining", "it has been like that from day 1" - empty, annoyed and unproductive responses.

It is frustrating to realise that there is no discussion going on at all. i came with the best intentions and my reward is the bored rejection of the tech-kings. seems to me like you are not really open minded. you follow your agenda. the input of new/weaker players doesn't seem to be of any relevance rather they are an annoyance. that's sad.

No one was complaigning about the Scout. It was a discussion. A DISCUSSION. Is that so hard to understand? Is it so wrong to openly talk about pros and cons? Isn't that actually exactly the opposite of "being lazy"?
Also, as pointed out earlier: only because something worked in a specific way since day one it doesn't mean it has to stay like that. That's just nuts. You disagree? Well, then toss FAF and go back to the status of FA without all the additional patches.
It is great Resin_Smoker has done so much. I appreciate it, I really do. And if you do not believe me ask HIM. A few days back I pm'ed him for no specific reason but only to say THANK YOU for supporting the community. So pls, dont give me this crap. Much appreciated.
Additionally, I do not care how much someone has done for who or whatever. It never can and should be a legitimate reason for being rude and a pain.

Oh, and also, I do not know how to read that code. I do not even know the language. It's easy to learn? Says who? You? The mayority of coders? Fine. But guess what, people claim English is easy to learn too and still some people have a really hard time with it. You may say: f*ck 'em, not my problem. I say: no biggy, I help those guys out if they ask for information.
This is a forum, a place were people help each other out and have a fun time together. At least I thought so. Maybe I am wrong.

Btw.: saying "otherwise you would not never be able to scout" really doesn't make you look like you seriuosly read any of the previous discussion (too lazy?).

And finally, actively trying to give help (and no "armchair advice") is really fun if it basically sounds like: "Its clearly written in code language in the blueprint. I just dump it here and if u are not able to read it you obviously are too lazy and stupid to put the effort into that. And if you ask for some translation cuz you cannot read, I just ignore you cuz, well I can read it and you can't. Oh, and ya, and probably you cannot read at all. *funny, artistic, making me look so cool and over the top eye rolling smiley*"

You know what? Answers like that you can stick up your *ss. Thanks a bunch! :)

Resin is an accomplished modder from the GPGnet days. At least somebody with that name was.

This is a basic breach of forum etiquette. Resin wtf are you thinking?

Sorry but I've been getting a little chaffed lately with those that ask or demand but have no intentions of ever learning to do on their own.
