The problem being, it's just completely unnecessary to change. I'd rather your talent for modding was put to something better.

It's not at all actually. I'm tired of explaining things to people today, do your history home work. However if you are feeling too lazy...

This bug is old. Increasing the size of the hitbox, or decreasing it will not solve the problem, merely shift it to the walls or to the PD.

As Vault54 - as he has worked with this issue a number of times. There is no fix as it stands, and I believe the issue is to do with the hitboxes occluding each other. (bigger wall pd, so tank shots don't hit the back wall = harder to hit the PD, PD hitbox occlusion.

Change the PD size bigger, and the walls don't work at all.

Other thing, is that you may have noticed, only the behind walls are taking the hit, not the front ones.

The problem or issue as you call it isnt in the size of the hit-boxes but rather the fact that they needed to be "reset" after being built. Something is being lost during the build cycle that is making the presence of the hit-boxes not felt.

The minor re-sizing i did was to allow the walls to cover at least half the height of a PD. For all intensive purposes this is an increase of 20% over stock.

Having something this important left up to pure, buggy chance is stupid.

I appreciate this change, it would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison of your wall hitbox fix versus the vanilla wall hitboxes.

Also, while it makes sense to have the hitbox for UEF walls match up like that, the Aeon wall hitbox is too high and should be lowered, my 2 cents.

Also(x2) is this going to be available in the vault or just the download website?

In the above pic, the Aeon wall has the fix enabled while the UEF wall does not.

Now as for the hit-box sizing all I've made sure that all wall hit-boxes are the exact same height. Would be better to alter the mesh size to match the hit-boxes but this can come later after I get more feedback.

now I think with this "fix" they are now impervious to non-aoe damage. The way walls work with t1 pd is fine, I see no reason for change.

Last time i checked, building walls was supposed to protect a structure from non-aoe / non-arty projectiles. Otherwise whats the point?

If the incoming projectiles are at an angle where they'd intersect the wall's mesh, then by all rights they should trigger an on-impact event.
Last time i checked this is how things worked in the real world.... All i did was correct GPG's mistake.

BTW: Don't get all wound up over this fix as it's likely that it means arty's could have a greater role with early TECH-1 PD breaking. Anyone who sends tanks off blindly against a walled in PD deserves to have them die.
