I got a French/english mix, but i'm not scripter so i can't really do much for the moment. I have game menu and some popups in french now.

Localisation is scripted here in ...\env\mohodata\lua\system\Localization.lua

I simply put that in a mod to run it when i launch the game with FAF, and i specified where is my translation file with that simple modification :

local function dbFilename(la)
return '/Mods/TradFr/hook/lua/ui/strings_db.lua'
end

It's certainly no hard to do better.

Yup i try it, that work on FA but not on SC.

At least i have the voice in French (no text/interface) in coop mission :

i simply go at :
...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\sounds\Voice\FR
copied all in :
...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\sounds\Voice\US

That work.

For interface/texts of missions, all is located in this file : ...Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\gamedata\loc_FR.scd
I search if i can modify FA to use Fr language by default.

The voice folder is moved to another place. But believe me, only english is available.

Running the voice files on FA requires to convert them : viewtopic.php?f=45&t=5321#p54790

Si je regarde dans les dossiers téléchargés par FAF pour les missions coop, par exemple le dossier "SCCA_Coop_R01_v01\sounds\voice\us" est vide.
Je suppose donc que les voix ne sont pas téléchargées avec la carte coop, mais sont directement lus de notre installation de SupCom, qui contiendrait donc les versions Fr et Us ?

Il doit être possible, soit de modifier notre supcom pour mettre les voix Fr à la place des voix US, soit de modifier les missions coop pour les liés aux versions Fr. Je regarderai ça lorsque j'aurai le temps.

Chez moi à partir du moment ou je lance SupCom via FAF, que ce soit en coop vanilla, FA ou PVP, tout le jeu et l'interface sont en anglais.
Une exception : lorsque je regarde un replay (comme les tutoriels par exemple, très bien faits ) là l'interface est en Français.

Je pense que avec Supreme Commander original en FR il y a moyen d'avoir les missions en Français.
Tout comme les missions de FAF qui sont override en FR grâce a l'install de FA.

We don't have the manpower to support anything else than english.

Oui, j'ai SC et FA vesrion Steam, les deux jeux lancés sans FAF sont bien en français complet (menus, textes, voix, vidéos).

Note : it's not a big deal, FAF is really excellent, thx for your work on it
