I'm doing it completely for the fun of it, but yes it'd be nice to see some of it implemented if I reach that level. And competition would of course be great if anyone has experience in sound design.

I think this technical difficulty has to be overcome before someone actually puts efforts into creating new sounds. We encountered it in Nomads, so we're interested in a good solution too.

I would like to start discussing reworking some sound effects.

On of the common gripe against FA is that the sound effects has less "kick" than TA. And it diminish greatly the level of destruction that happens in the game.

Ie. the mantis laser.

So, is there any guy that is really good at creating sound effects?
