With engies yes, with air staging no.

You are backwards buddy. Engies repair at full cost. Air staging is at 10%.

Well I made a typo, it's 90% off initial cost. So I'm not sure which way you were about at first... but engies are still full cost.

Repair right now is 90% of initial cost.

Or that's the go around assumption as it's clearly not 100%.

On topic, it's something I'd thought about. Something much less drastic was my idea. The current fuel thing works for me so I'm set.

Edit: Wrote 90% of initial cost the first go.

My idea is to give T3 (and perhaps T2) air units the special abilities as follows:
- Aeon get a personal shield. (Which can only recharge at Air Staging)
- UEF get a rack of air to air missiles. (Ammo can only be replenished at Air Staging)
- Cybran get a forward firing anti-air laser. (Which can only be re-energized at Air Staging)
- Seraphim get a personal shield. (Which can only recharge at Air Staging)

The idea would work because these abilities require build power to regenerate. Which means they can only do so when assisted by something with build power. This would encourage players to recharge their aircraft between missions. Perhaps even cycling aircraft through a carrier during the engagement itself.

Aeon and Seraphim planes would benefit from the increased survivability. Cybran and UEF would benefit from the increased 'alpha-strike'. Aeon and Seraphim bombers would do better against SAM's. But Cybran and UEF bombers would have some self defence capability against air units.
