Hey from one new player to another. I will second poo trumpets' sentiment. This is one of the most welcoming and helpful online gaming communities i have had the pleasure to be in even if some of the discussions so get technical (im looking at seraphim left nuts' electric field/point charge thread and the nerf reclaim one).

I've always been impressed and delighted to see how well the community in this game gets along. So many games now devolve into divisiveness just for the sake of it, with forums becoming the cesspool of hate that we all know and love. Anyways, always good to see more players joing FAF. I wish I knew about it when it first stated, I've only been on for a few months.

Hi Everyone,

I've been playing on FAF for a while now and i just wanted to stop by and introduce myself, and say thanks to the creators of FAF. I loved Supcom and TA back in the day, but supcom 2 kinda sucked. I was upset when i found out GPG shut down and I couldn't play supcom 1 with my friends anymore, but I was very happy when I discovered FAF. Its possibly the best fan created content for any game ever (at least in my experience).

I don't play ladder that much, mostly just VS AI with my buddy, but I'm still happy about the fact that its possible to play multiplayer.

I work in IT, and do some coding on the side. I'm pretty familiar with Server maintenance/hosting/deployment, and im also have a fair amount of PHP And javascript experience, so if there are small projects I can work on to help improve the mod I'd be happy to contribute (When I have free time).
