Noe problem here either with FAF and Win8.1 here either.
Various other problems with that OS version, aswell as the 8 version, but none of them FAF related.

When I had to call the activation line they accepted my explanation of double using my XP license and having an unused Vista license.

If FA/SUpCom DOESNT work on 8.1, Ill just buy a OEM for 120 bucks and go to Windows 7.

Go to your steamapps folder and find those executables in there and set them to admin.

Like I said, no problems at all.

Downloaded my free upgrade, and I just clicked a few buttons, everything worked instantly no problems, no reinstalls required.
I haven't seen any mouse problems people are supposed to be having. And definitely not in FA.

Rightclick the application launch in the FAF folder and set it to run as admin permanently.

Run FA and FAF as admin and all your problems disappear. I have had zero problems once I did that.
