Sounds a lot like this. :)
I haven't played it but it looks like it would be absolutely crazy based on the trailers.

It was a ridiculously annoying practice and completely unfair to the people who were playing legitimately.

As a note on the live streaming, most of the games that I see streamed are large team games/ lighthearted frenzies. I do see 1v1's pop up, but I don't think much is done there on the ghosting front. One thing I did notice was that the number of live streams EXPLODED after the 5 minute lag was built into the FAF client. I don't know whether the two were related or not, just pointing out an observation.

So, this is what ghosting is.
I can't imagine people going to these lengths to win a game! Imagine if there were a cash prize....
I guess the satisfaction of the sick ego comes first!
This is why you must not always believe people speaking about fun games.
Because it could be an excuse to hide their perversion.

Alternatively, a player can have two computers logged into faf. Side by side. But yes, it is cheating and people shouldn't do it. Futhermore, the 5 minute delay doesn't mean much in longer games. Because it can still unmask the grand strategy. Or tell you where their ACU was 5 minutes ago, and whether it is likely to still be there.

Lately, I've taken to streaming a few of my games, I get good feedback, and it's a bit of motivation not to let the udience down.

One thing that has continued to astound me is how many people will freely take advantage of your stream and use it to ghost you. Multiple players have admitted to me they have trouble watching the stream and our game, seemingly unaware they were doing anything. If you are doing this is: This is cheating - you're not meant to be able to see a first person view of your opponent. If you are doing it in a ranked game, you should know what you are doing is wrong.

I do this because people ask, and for reasons metioned above, and other casters are more sought after but the only way to individually solve this problem is not cast.

Although I may have a suspicion about your "ghosting thingy", I don't know what you mean and I don't really care!(it does seem anmoying by your description).
I do care however, if you can do this involuntarily ! Can you?

i also experienced people watching my stream while im playing, its a small problem though. Usually people will quit watching if they are playing in a streamed game. For me personally its not a problem since i usually stream unrated teamgames where i dont really care about being ghosted or not. For you there is the option to add a delay to your livestream, i saw COH players doing that for example. Twitch supports delays, for example a 3 minute delay or similar could be a solution for you.
