I will run the script in the entire database in order to unrank previous uploaded maps.

This does not make uploading thermo allowed again. The problem with them is the stupid one-sided of reclaim on some of them.

And thanks for all cheaters for wasting my time, making me doing this instead of coding GW.

I agree with this, The rating system is useful and gives a general idea of how a player performs across the board. The people who do try to cheat have no chance vs higher skilled players, people who compete and succeed without handicaps being placed on their opponents.

They aren't just hurting themselves though, they're hurting others who look at their (inflated) rating to inform team balancing decisions in team games.

Add to that rating that is lost by unwary players in good faith. I suspect that the rating system would rectify itself with time. But it is annoying all the same, to have those victories effectively wiped from your record... However, I think the impact caused to teammates is probably the greater reason.

To me ... if its the same for all players then its fair and really, for example, just shows player skill in one area like 'GroundWar' when Air and Navy are restricted. You seem to be saying that any script change is cheating the rank system, I look at it more like people want a team game that does not have some of the crazy snipes that are part of full 'competition'. In plain words they don't want impossible to defend ACU snipes like ...Mercy snipes, Strat Bomber snipes and LRC snipes with shields that don't function. These matches are very popular as your figures show.
...
roj

AwardE no this is incorrect. The basic premise of a ranked match is that there are no restrictions, no limitations, and it operates within the confines of a FAIR contest which is UNIVERSALLY understood. Any build prohibitions of any kind would break this most basic requirement.

The whole idea of a ranked match is that players SHOULD be able to build nukes, and paragons, and air, and T3 artillery. A no paragon restriction leaves Aeon without a game ender. No bubbles gives Cybran the upper hand. etc. Your rules seek to limit the scope of strategic depth. They also favour the player who understands these limitations upon entering the game, over the player who does not... An entire game plan, and faction selection, could be based around aquiring a unit WHICH CANNOT BE BUILT. For this reason, such maps are imbalanced. They should be removed from the ranked ladder.
