If you have to start spamming out TMD then your screwed, unless it's a team game your doing a firebase, but in a team game it's also a bad sign - your team mates should covering for you. I don't know how to win games yet, but got plenty of experience in loosing

I think the answer you are looking for is that no.... TMD is never as good as the missiles you have coming your way. For the cost of a TMD the enemy can build over 2 more mobile missile launchers, so in an eco battle the MML always wins. You should have combat units available to go knock them out, or ranged attack in base (t3 PD or t2 arty). As a side note, that kind of defensive play usually ends in disaster.... you have invested all your mass in stationary defense that can't attack anything, and he has invested his mass into mobile attack units.

There is only one t3 *tactical* missile launcher, and that's the spearhead. All other tactical missiles are from t2 units, or t3 units with t2 weaponry.

? There are missile launchers in standard FAF and also Tact. missile defense, i see no dispute here, i am just asking about viability of the strategy.

I wonder how good tactical defense is against larger numbers of mobile missile launchers, will it prioritize t3 fixed missiles over t2 mobile missiles, is it possible to overwhelm it with t2 mobile arty spam so it will ignore the real threat in form of several t3 missile launchers or fixed missile launchers?
