People saw the buffs in the patch notes and decided to try them, liked them, and stuck with them.

I myself have always played them and its not likely to change, they are just a trend faction at the moment.

It's good that the Cybrans propagate and dominate for several reasons:
The whole concept behind them is aggressive play, which is more difficult than defensive play , so this brings skill.(Of course all races can be played aggresively, but this is another topic.)
Cybrans only recently reached this status, they were rather underplayed before.
They are the only race fighting for a just cause, their right to freedom and decency, their right to personal evolution.
UEF fight under the facade of uniting all the humans, while what they really want is the exploitation of human beings with lesser social status.
The Aeon are religious fundamentalists; look around our world, you 'll find many and you won't like them.Their religious zeal was a justification for the Seraphim to invade.
The Seraphim are the aliens, probably with a hive mentality and full of religious nonsense, that are ready to cause genocide, because of an event which was surely inhuman, but was related to a planet only and not the whole galaxy.
That said, I find myself playing Sera lately, because of their Acu; I like dancing with the acu and sera acu is just awesome. Managed correctly it can negate even the power of small t3 armies, it can be the perfect antispam of t1 units and a menace for rows of pds . I just wish its capabilities were cybran!

No, Aeon are really good. More micro-intensive but overall very strong.

the sera dont really have few units.
on t3 all of their units are useful (even the sniperbot, not like the aeon one), expecially the t3 mobils shield is special.
on t2 they dont have that much but the ilshiver is a allround unit that is good against anything so they dont need much.
on t1 they have a very strong arty that is also usable against other tanks pretty well so there they also have a lot of diversity.

There is very little that you can do with Sera that you can't do with UEF, and many things you can do with UEF that you can't do with Sera. Sera have far too few units to be interesting, at least this is my reason for not playing as them. They don't have any special or signature units that are genuinely useful, and there's no way to change that.

IMO Aeon are uninteresting aesthetically, I don't like their rounded amorphousness, and the noises their guns make are gay and stupid. Add to that the micro requirement and I can't see myself ever playing Aeon either.

i think dstojs changes seem to be very good.
not UEF and Cybran should be changed because they are used too much, but aeon and seraphim because they're underused.
btw for me it seems like sera is used nearlya as much as cybran and uef

3. I started using cybran because of the last patch, before that I just played UEF. I really like cybran now and will go on playing them. Maybe a few other player thought the same way....i guess it will change...give it some time
Aeon is a race for the pros because of micro and i just dont like sera....i cant even say why.

Well I give you some idea about what could be done:

arty firing all direction while moving not like now
aurora "dodge" style ( check my mod ) that pip didn't want because he said it will be op in pro's hand Oo
change the blaze's physics to the aurora one with dps 20 from 15 pro bullet damage and 24 range from 23 ( check my mod )
obsidian hp and shield like before in 3599 but with range 30 from 20 and 2 damage radius ( check my mod )

You can test it. This is in my mod but even with this change this is hard but way more playable than before
