It can be good (look for my map Tessal Passage in the vault - I think I managed to keep it balanced there), but in a map where you absolutely have to send your ACU forward immediately and then meet your opponent in the middle, you must have perfect balance. That doesn't exist with Sulphur mounds, the left player has a serious advantage there. No cons for the left, no pros for the right.

The wreckage is also placed incorrectly. The wreckage for the left player will always go to him, but the wreckage for the right can be contested (where the big wreckage for the right player is, is where you would expect the mass spots - horizontally speaking of course).

The map is one of the maps to choose from in 1v1 games.

there a map, a isis 3v3, that one side have infinite mass...

Unfortunately I don't have the Map ID, but the game was played between:
meloribeiro, Jacktequila, FeanorSralondE, Captain, Maniac07 and commander1986

I moved your post. Furthermore i kicked the team who was using it out of the game (Captain, Commander1986, Mainic07) and warned them.

Even 2k Elo players seem to think that reclaim is necessary for a map to be fun.
I think it might be because many FA maps are designed without much map control in mind(And now some of these idiots are making PA ;), in such cases if you also have no reclaim of course it's gonna be boring.

Maps that are designed to require people to expand, where most mass spots are not in the perimeter of your base , IMO, play just fine even without reclaimable.

Maps with tons of mass and tons of reclaim are maps that focus on one's ability to expand and spam or tech eco so fast so as to keep up with the abscene amounts of mass they are getting.

Low mass maps are a different, yet just as interesting animals.

I feel like, if anything, that proves my point.

Your rating clearly isn't representative of skill level.

listen
I have a rating shown of 1870 and a peak at ~2000 going up to 2100
that means if the rating would be perfect and i would play different from day to day i play
with a 1% chance 2100 style, with 70% Chance 2000 style etc etc
now basicly even when i would play totally consisten i would have a performance range of 300 rating, wich my opponent also has
now my rating swaps around between 1950 and 1850 that means you can add another 100 points that uncertaincy

that means i can basiyleperfor between

1850 and 2200
lets say my oppnent is myself
he can perfor bewtween 1850 and 2200 too

My first entity has a good day, plays 2200 style, my second entity has a bad day and plays 1850 style
= i just had a total unbalanced game against myself

now add the general uncertaincy and some map retlated things (some are better on bigger or smaller maps)

And then try to understand how you should see rating: As an indicator, somebody 1800 rated will MOST LIKELY pwn a 1400 rated, but it doesnt mean tht you have your rating and a random number generator for the range 0-100 and who has the biggst number in total at the end wins

nobody forces anybody to play with rating, although it can actually be unfair to play without rating because if you played 100 unrated games and then sombody tries to balance a game (by using the rating) you will probably f*** up the game

as always i want to point out that this post is not meant agressivly or harsh in any way just pointing what people do not understand at the beginning (i didnt too) because they (maybe subtile) see rating as highscore

cu
