ZEP: Also, didn't you raise like $8,000 USD for galactic? That's the equivalent of 400 backers at $20usd each.
If the Indiegogo offered the full re-coded FA game for $20USD you would only need 2000 backers to reach $40,000. Not impossible.

I know it's a lot of complicated dreams... but think about how amazing it could be to see that happen.
I think it will... one day. A community-developed game over a decade or more. Fine-tuned to perfection :)

This is way different level. I don't think you realize the amount of work just needed just to compile the code correctly.

It seems to me that if there's someone like ZEP around to make the client then definitely there would be someone to mess with the actual game.

It seems to me that it could potentially be the greatest crowd-sourced game development ever... if it worked. Because if the pathfinding and graphics and rendering were optimised the game could be updated and stay relevant and amazing.

Many maybes and Ifs...so before talking about Kickstarters we will wait and see what Nordic gets from the THQ auction and more importantly see if they want to support us or not.

So in other words Square Enix are the ones who are going to develop a SupCom sequel, but Nordic are the ones who are going to publish it?
That's kind of confusing.

Can't say if this is right, or that the copy rights are differently spread, but what I can tell you is that whomever has the rights to the franchise will only be certain after the whole sale out has been finished. And that is the 13th of May. If they let us know by then, is a different matter.

They get the "keys" of what they bought in 1 month. Until then we (and apparently them too) don't exactly know what they have or not.
