Whilst I'm just a newcomer here reading this, wouldn't at least a semi official slap on the wrist from a moderator help to discourage this? Even something as simple as "We've had reports of, etc etc. Stop your monkey business and play fair."

Even if there was no official action or punitive measure intended, the implied risk of it and knowing that they've been caught, would surely be enough to set most of such players straight right? Ignoring it entirely only encourages the practice to continue.

True, but its not fun for the weakest player to be exterminated first like an insect. Focus the strong guy? No problem, but focusing the weakest guy is just mean.

you can lock teams, but that doesnt prevent players from making no-atack treaties in the chat or in skype

the most dangerous looking player will always be focused

Well i play a lot of phantom games. And frankly double , triple and even quadra teaming is relatively common.

But in all honesty, in an actual FFA game and you get double teamed, there is no real solution short of playing an FFA with teams disabled completely and all alliances impossible to make ( Is this possible? And if yes will it make the game unranked as a result ? )

Resetting the rating would only ensure that they would play against weaker players (with the odds stacked in their favor, which is what they were seeking by double teaming). It might not be the best solution.

I agree. planning beforehand that you are going to rating boost by teaming up is is not good for the community. Reset ratings seems like a very fitting punishment.

i know what an "FAF" exploit is, thanks.....

I was using it in the context of its actual definition... to take advantage of (a person, situation, etc.), esp unethically or unjustly for one's own ends
