i have found a blueprint in the mod where the shadow size is set to 6144. I think if I reduce this value to something like 1024 performance is better - but I got no time to test it yesterday ... I'll come back on this...

I don't know why, but in replays it isn't working with the enhanced rock/tree/wracks view...?!

i know that there used to be a version for slow cpus, a standard version and a full version.
the full version displays the shadows in the highest possible resolution even when fully zoomed out.
i do not know what the version for slow cpus is for or what it does, but i have downloaded it a couple of years ago. when you want to try it, i can upload it. maybe it displays the shadows in an inferior quality, but i have never tried this myself...

this mod is supposed to display trees, rocks, wrecks and rocks from a greater distance as well. this is the reason why i recommend this mod to all moderators and casters. i have not measured this effect, though.

unfortunately my laptop is just too slow to play with this mod. i think it is an improvement to the game the same way as the new shaders are.
i would really like this to be included into faf and to be enabled with high graphic settings, but this will probably never happen.

i am not sure, but i think i have read that this mod is part of the 4th DC mod. development seems to have stopped, but MAYBE 4th DC will become a featured mod in the faf lobby anyway...

since it is only and grafic mod i dont see why it should be excluded from ranked games

I have downloaded the mod from here http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=51030 yesterday and it is working very nice!
I installed the "standard" version and get just some small fps drops at if zoomed-out. Mostly because of the high quality shadows I guess.

Anyway, my question is: is this mod permitted for ranked games?

And does somebody know how to reduce the quality of the shadows in the mod? Because switching shadow quality in the video options doesn't change anything it seems.

Any other information about the mod I should know?
