i got steam versions and retail version of fa and both are runnng without any problems.

Yes, it is compatible. Although i had to do some copy and paste work with the Application for FA to get it to work. Post again if you run into the same problem, i'll happily help you through it.

The gold edition is just FA bundled with SC. It's still the Steam version of FA.

I'm about to buy SupCom on Steam so was wondering is FAF compatible with the steam version of the game and is it compatible with the gold edition of the game or do I need to buy steam version of FA for FAF to work?
