If you have actual proof of someone "cheating", PM the Moderators group on the forums.

Do not make threads about it here, because they will do nothing more than:

1) Result in a flamewar
2) Give more people ideas - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

Live replay has nothing to do with this post. The cheater was not using live replay. The smurf in the other game, that misspelled his name to trick people into thinking it was me, was claiming to use live replay to cheat. I doubt he actually was. I was not in that game. I just posted it to show that administrative action has not been used to stop these disruptive activities and it appears that they will be allowed to continue.

So he was just telling the opposing team where his teams ACUs were? That's not cheating, that's just being a d***. Zep has said again and again, e.g in cases of team-killing, that's not in the remit of FAF admins to take action against this kind of behaviour.

Lyr you are clearly too new to be commenting on this as you don't seem to know how things work.

I know you also go by Mapman, and that you are a middling Setons player who hasn't achieved anything remotely resembling competitive success outside of Seton's Clutch. I also know that you have a habit of abusing players and talking trash after all of your games. Newbie players regularly complain about you abusing them in game.

Frankly, you have no right to complain to anyone about anyone being a d***.

V, In my first post in these forums you are trolling me. I hope admins will monitor you. I find it incredible that you comment on peoples behavior as you are well known for trolling games where you have been asked to leave and returning with a smurf account. You lag badly and ruin games, you are then asked to stay out, but like a small child, you keep returning. You have multiple computers and smurfs that you use to bash newbs and return to games you have been asked to leave. Please don't troll my threads or games.

lol

As far as I am concerned ghosting is cheating and should be reported to admins if you have proof of it. The solution is not to remove live replay because it is an awesome feature especially for new players looking for some inspiration.

Don't remove the LR because of some jerks. Who needs to do that anyway ? Incompetent players.

So let them have their fun their way, and don't spoil the LR for everybody else. It's a GREAT tool/feature!

Is it cheating ? Of course.

Mapman, one solution to solve your fear/obsession of playin' with cheaters could be to improve your skills (after 5 years of playin', it might be time to do so) and play with the decent players. You shall notice then that all those bs is completely irrelevant ;)

You only have 4, what's your point?

I smell some BS here.

In the screenshot a guy, with your name, is telling players that he can see the game on his second monitor in Live Replay. But you can't run two instances of FA.

Now another thing, is that Setons games desync as soon as someone dies. So how much practical use can you get out of ghosting on Setons (let's face it we're talking about pretty much only Setons here)? And let's be fair, you don't really see this kind of griefing in 4v4s except in the Setons crowd.

And again, how useful can late game ghosting be on Setons "He's under a shield in his main" or "He's hiding in the pond". Or at the beginning of the game "He's doing the same thing he's done since 2009".

It is clearly cheating in every respect. The question was is this cheating allowed? I never got a answer from an admin? Has the player been banned?

one does not get banned for a single rule violation.
all you can hope for is that an admin issues a warning.
what we can learn from this thread is that giving intelligence data about your teammates is a rule violation.

i have seen it happen occasionally, and almost universally due to frustration of a dead team member with the lack
of skill of a still playing teammate. but i could not name anyone who would do it regularly, nor do i remember who
did it when i saw it.
