I'm really new to FAF and I really suck. I had stumbled upon the supcom wiki linked above and had used it when playing some casual games with my friends before I had discovered FAF. For new players, I think the wiki is really useful.

I know that there is a wiki for FAF, here: http://www.faforever.com/mediawiki/inde ... =Main_Page

But, it doesn't have the unit costs/damage statistics and strategy discussion that the supcom wiki has. As I get slaughtered over and over again, I find myself really wishing for an updated version of the supcom wiki. I know that there are updated unit statistics on the complete unit list on FAForever.com, but it'd be really useful to have the strategy discussion as well. For example, in 3599 according to the wiki jesters and the Sera t2 bots were very powerful. When I played with my friends, those were both built en masse. Now, I checked the unit list and see that they have both been buffed, but I've actually not seen jesters built at all in my experience on FAF. I've gotten a little offtrack, but the point here is that short little blurbs written by top or even competent players about the units would be really, really useful for new players like myself. As I try to pitch my friends on how fun this game is, it would help to be able to provide them with a resource as well.

I know there are other resources to use to improve, and you guys do have plenty of noob guides and replays etc. that are very helpful. I'm still improving anyways, but I do think that the wiki would be extremely helpful.

I don't know if the best way to do this is to update the existing wiki (looks annoying if people change your updates back) or to enhance the FAF wiki. If you could have a little strategy section in the complete unit list, that would be helpful as well.

Great job with the game and the support you guys provide so far. I have a ton of fun with this!

I myself formatted the Supreme Commander and SC2 wiki pages when the new wikia hardware effectively destroyed the older wikia format, reminiscent of how the FA wiki looks, a couple years ago. Heck, I even went to the internet archive to rescue the old wiki logo and made a crude SC2 wiki logo also. I've also tried my best to add some of the new developments including FAF a link to which is at the top of the main page. While I may be biased due to my work on the wiki I do think that it's an interesting compendium of information. However you are right that there is little good game play information on the site, but I would like it if someone with a lot more experience could change that. So in conclusion I suppose I'm just saying that you ought to keep the wiki in mind.

There's no need to duplicate the data on there at this point.

I agree with this here but there is so much stuff on there that is blatantly wrong and useless information that will do nobody any good at all. Too bad you cant ban people because its a wiki.

Ultimately, I use FAF wiki once in a while, but can't remember the last time I used the supcom one.

-Do any of you use it?
-Have any of you changed stuff on it or written any pages?
-Would any of you like to see anything done to it?
-Would any of you be willing to do so if this was the case?
