I think the best solution in cases like this is giving people the option to disable it. Also, the timer should count up, not down, sometimes I'll be waiting for a match for 15 minutes and it will cycle 5 times. It would be nice to see exactly how long I've been waiting.

It's fun. It's nice to be reminded, "hey, we're just having fun here" before you get thrown into a ladder match.

I'll bet there's a way to mod the client to remove the animation.

FAF should take some inspiration from TF2's matchmaking queue, they have this cool button thing you can press over and over again, sometimes it does a cool spin! Great for passing the time.

Seriously, who wasted their time animating the com dancing? It looks like shit. It's legitimately worse than the fake cybran splash and T4 GS, and I didn't know that was possible.
