Mumble was nice because it would just auto switch you to the right channel. Then you would occasionally end up with random ppl in voice chat. That does nothappen with Discord.

Sure, but then the real clicking starts: inviting people, assigning roles, invite guest etc etc, so 2 clicks is not a really fair answer
Did some quick searches, discord doesn't seem to have a channel hierarchies concept, like mumble does: https://wiki.mumble.info/wiki/ACL_and_Groups/English
Educate me if I am wrong...
On topic: using the faf mumble seems more open to me, every faf player can join (and we do entertain some guests on occasion)
We still do have our clan mumble server as backup, but more complicated with guest....

Ok, may I be so bold to ask for a HEL channel (under # voice chat, below "general 5" is fine) and authorize me and other HEL members to make subchannels and occupants drag between them.

Uhh we use it with our clan every Tuesday... and never saw this poll, can it be back up?
Mumble has the advantage that channel admins can drag people to other sub-channels, which we use, start with random teams and then drag when game has started
I have several screens I drag, others do not, so they don't have to alt-tab and change channel themselves

The poll results are clear. Nobody is using mumble (as suspected). The service will be discontinued.

Have not invested the time to know how to join and synch it to the game. If it is relatively easy I would do so.

GB used to use it but discord took off and provided more features even if it was somewhat less lightweight and unreliable.

love discord. I think it's as good as an app can get...

opt-in webapp to boot, no account needed while you try it, and when you do create the account it keeps your settings and once again does it's magic trick once you accept to install the desktop app which as it happens is readily available from any package manager on linux.

there's no choice needed to be made on whether the VOIP you have is channel-based or per-person based or something kinda in-between, you can have a high level of configurability to your visibility and what communities generate notifications or don't.

it's got a lot of things going for it to say the very least.

I thought FAF Mumble ceased to exist. I liked it, but too few players used it.

I hate discord. What a bloated piece of ... that is.

used to use it when it was connected to the game, and everyone of the team (even with stranger) was pulled together to the same channel.
