Yes, but keep in mind that your current forum account is NOT the same account as your FAF account. They are different. Example: If you change password in forum account settings, your FAF password will not change. Option B changes this so they are the same account.

I was mostly refering to issues we have with registration emails not being sent etc. But I will precise my initial post.

that means that not only am i forced to link my steamaccount with my fafaccount to play FAF but if i don´t do that i can´t use the current forumaccount, i linked to when i was able to play FAF, anylonger ..

What type of auth method would we use for SSO on a new forum (e.g oauth)? I guess my question is that if the forum is compromised via a vulnerability what sort of potential is there for faf account compromise.

I never asked before but I guess if the faf account passwords are hashed rather than encrypted then it's less or an issue.

If above is not an issue then I would say SSO with restricted forum access for guest logon so that things like faf account issues can be sorted easier.

Just have a link to the technical help discord section in the tech forums and it should resolve that issue for the most part.

Personally, I'd love to see single-sign on, but that brings up the issue of account support. If a new or returning player needs help with their account, they're most likely to go to the forums. If they're locked out of that as well then...
