Ofc I wish none of those upgrades to make it in the current game but it's funny to think around that idea of adding new upgrades to the Cybran ACU.

Works just fine in Nomads. However there are a lot of different upgrades and better distribution for speed. Cybran ACU would be bad for that at least because you have to put speed in same place as tech. Otherwise t3 ACU insta-upgrades speed everytime it sees experimental and runs away. But being in same place with t2 also means being in same place with gun = useless without gun.

As Ftx said, FAF community generally doesn't like new units and ACU upgrades have equal impact. I remember when Resin_Smoker proposed this unit /viewtopic.php?f=41&t=9502 . Sadly all ended up with this

And i'd be accurate to add something new on top of we already have. So if cybrans were to get some form of additional damage instead of survivability, i would suggest to make ACU shoot hoplite-like rockets via upgrading torp launcher = additional DPS with some range + ability to get it with stealth and gun/t2. Transforming torps into rockets is something that many cybran units do anyway.

Also one of things i dislike about cybran upgrades is RAS. You don't have ARAS, nor you can't get it with armor upgrade. It would be awesome if it was moved on right hand. Would be cool to have glowing generator on the chest of Cybron man! +you'd be able to get it with cloak and somewhat support it.

i had the idea that cybran upgrade choices are very poor too - i would add an upgrade in the path between stealth and cloak that adds a stealth field. that would be sufficient to not make cybran a stronger combat ACU but fits its role of many support tools and of the stealthy raiding faction.

I agree that we shouldn't add more units or ACU upgrades. This thread is more about IF we were to add more Cybran upgrades, what would be some potential upgrades that would still keep within FAF balance?

I agree, but what kind? 2 other factions already have nano, and a personal shield is very un-Cybran-like.

Will require some textures work. Also balance team would need to steal properly working Loyalist redirect system from EQ and they are obviously not doing it (at least a couple more years).

- 2nd gun upgrade that gives splash, cheaper and less powerful than Sera 2nd gun
